My Approach

Welcome! Thank you for visiting my page!

I am a Holistic Body Love Coach that is passionate about working internationally with people who struggle with food, body image, weight, confidence, having positive self-talk, relationship with money and anything Self-Love! Being an entrepreneur myself, I am also passionate about coaching other entrepreneurs to shift their limiting core beliefs so that they get out of their own way, to achieve the success they are craving for!

I am also a Registered Psychologist with a general private practice in which I work with teens, individuals, couples and families for a wide range of concerns. I have a Masters in Marital and Family Therapy, and am also a Certified Hakomi Therapist. I also hold a specialization in Holistic Nutritional Psychology!

As mentioned above, I have a strong passion for working with people who struggle with every degree (from very mild to severe) in their relationship with food (overeating, undereating, emotional eating, binge eating), body image issues (chronic and/or yo-yo dieting), weight loss/gain issues, digestion, fatigue, immunity and mood . I am passionate about helping clients understand their own relationship with food and working through their struggles in the area of body health.

My approach is collaborative, strength-based, personal, holistic (i.e., looking at the person as a whole in mind, body and spirit), sprinkled with a whole lot of positivity and a dash of spunk! I honor where each person is at in his or her life.

I believe that our struggles are patterns that do not serve us any longer, and my job is to support both coaching and therapy clients to create and shift into new patterns that do serve them, through my guidance of loving presence, nurturance, and discovering clients’ inner wisdoms through their mind-body.

Other concerns I can support you in are:  work/life balance, parenting, life transitions, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, grief, anger, trauma related events, sexual (including lesbian, gay, and bi-sexual), and family-of-origin issues. I also have background and knowledge in working with individuals with Asperger’s Syndrome and Autism.

Personally, I am an athlete at heart. I have been trained in karate at the young age of 8 and earned a 2nd degree Black Belt, and have taught both children and adults for over 10 years. I also played soccer for many years, including competitive. I love being active and continue to challenge myself with various fitness endeavours from cross fit, krav maga, weight lifting to yoga, body barre, tap and belly dancing.

In the past 10 years, I developed a passion for body sculpting, and competed in a figure bodybuilding show in 2008. Realizing the stage was not for me, but really loved the fitness journey, so I continue to challenge myself with various fitness journeys. I am always open to challenging and learning more about myself emotionally, spiritually, mentally and physically.

I believe in always evolving and growing, pushing and stretching my own edges. My philosophy is “lean into discomfort for personal self-growth” because as you stretch your comfort zone by working through your fears- you become that much more fierce!

I also LOVE food – all kinds of foods and everything to do with food- from exploring, learning about their properties, prepping, cooking, and baking (Ok, I also admit, I love to photograph food too). I love to experiment with various and unique recipes, spices, herbs, ingredients. One of my hobbies is to discover food blogs, experimenting with recipes so that I can nourish myself and loved ones with new found recipes!

I love spending time with my friends over good food, games and dancing. My husband and I have two beautiful sons. We love to travel to various places and adventures. We also enjoy trail running, bike rides and hiking together, and we get to share our experiences with our sons too! 🙂
